Breakfast Cereals
When we walk in a grocery store, and ran out of kids cereals, we end up heading the cereals aisle, the dreaded one for me. My daughter likes a particular brand, the sweeter, the better. A harsh wake up and an on going debate with my daughter to finally settled for an in between.
Today on the hot seat we will review the following brands:
Mainstreams grocery stores
Cheerios
Lucky Charms
Healthier food stores chains (Wholefoods, Sprouts)
Barbara's puffs
Nature's Path

Brands on the hot seat
Food Brands on the hot seat Introduction
Today we are invaded with articles, blogs, new food movements, fda, celebrities, strong marketing on what to eat, what not to eat... and even how to eat. Our world seems to evolve around our plate, yet, the more it does, the less we seem to eat freely and we are becoming our own slaves.. free of gluten, dairy , sugar....We are consumed by our consumerism. We follow trends, fads because they are trends without taking the time to stop and ask ourselves, why? For some of us, life goes without much further questions, others would like to have an opportunity to learn how to become a healthier consumer, but don't know how to start and what to look for.
Here we will try to debunk some of the brands and we will offer a comparative by food category by food products and learn how to maneuver between brands.
With a rise of healthier, alternative choices some brands have been able to masquerade themselves into this movement with a strong marketing, and key words slammed onto their boxes. It is understood that the healthiest choice is to eat whole foods, the food closer nature, the least altered, the least processed. Unfortunately, it isn't always readily available and practically plays a major role in our fast paced environment today.
We are here today, to help you make wiser choices, saving you time to investigate by breaking down a range of food by category to place them in comparaison and break down theirs ingredients listed.
Every month, we will recruit a category of food (breakfast cereals, snacks, frozen, dairy, meat...) and we will analyze point by point the pros and cons of the products. Simple, yet efficient and straight to the point enabling you to help you make a wiser decision about your purchases.
